Fit Engine

A structured path to the right HRMS shortlist.

Fit Engine helps mid-market teams move from organisational context to clear HRMS requirements. Start with the free diagnostic, then decide whether a free discovery call and deeper advisory support are needed.

Best for HR leaders, CHROs, HR tech specialists, founders, and CEOs
Designed for complex or cross-border HRMS decisions

We don't take money from vendors — no commissions, no kickbacks. Every shortlist position is justified by your requirements.

How it works

Free path. Free call. Then choose if (and which) Advisory you need.

The first two stages are free and self-serve. The third is paid Advisory — three independent services, each engageable on its own terms.

1

Free Self-Diagnostic

Free · 15 min

An automated 8-section assessment covering organisational context, HR & AI maturity, growth pressure, compliance posture, integration complexity, implementation capacity, and priorities. You get a weighted requirements document and a basic fit report — yours to keep, no commitment required.

2

Free 30-min Discovery Call

Free

A working session — not a sales detour. We review your diagnostic outputs, pressure-test the problem you're trying to solve, and tell you whether (and which of) the three Advisory services would actually add value. If the answer is none, we say so.

3

Three independent Advisory services

Paid · optional

PRISEM (HR Tech Diagnostics, 4–8 wks), FORGE (System Evaluation & Selection, 8–16 wks), and GUIDE (Implementation Advisory, retainer). Engage any one standalone — even mid-implementation — or sequence them across the lifecycle. Each is fixed-scope, delivered through its own methodology.

Free diagnostic

Eight sections. Fifteen minutes.

The free self-diagnostic captures your operating context across eight structured dimensions. No account required to start — just answer what applies to your organisation.

What you get

Weighted requirements document

Your diagnostic inputs are translated into a structured requirements matrix — with weights and knockout logic derived from your context, not a generic template.

Basic fit report

A directional view of how your requirements map to the broader HRMS landscape — what to prioritise, where tradeoffs exist, and what categories of platform are most relevant.

Clarity on next steps

A clear view of whether to continue self-serve or where a discovery call — and potentially deeper advisory support — would add practical value.

Three independent services

Engage one, two, or all three — in any order.

Each Advisory service is independently scoped and delivered through its own methodology — PRISEM for diagnostics, FORGE for selection, GUIDE for implementation. Engage standalone if that's what you need, or sequence them across the full lifecycle.

PRISEM4–8 weeks · fixed-scope

HR Tech Diagnostics

Understand where you are before committing to change.

A structured assessment of your People, Process, and Technology — scored against defined criteria, not advisory judgement. If nothing is broken, we say so.

  • HR Tech Health Scorecard across People, Process, and Technology
  • Gap analysis with prioritised remediation roadmap
  • Process inventory and maturity scoring across the HR lifecycle
  • Path A (gaps found) → recommended next steps · Path B (no material gap) → optimisation roadmap for the current platform

Standalone, or the entry point into Selection / Implementation Advisory.

FORGE8–16 weeks · fixed-scope

System Evaluation & Selection

Vendor-agnostic procurement, end to end.

Requirements through commercial close. Three platforms shortlisted from your context, not our familiarity. Scripted demos against your real processes. Structured scoring. Commercial negotiation support.

  • Requirements matrix with MoSCoW prioritisation and success criteria
  • Long-list (8–12 vendors) → scored shortlist of 3 best-fit platforms
  • RFP, scripted demos, and weighted evaluation scorecard
  • Total Cost of Ownership model and commercial negotiation support through signature

Engage standalone if you've already done a diagnostic — or as the next step after Service 01.

GUIDEMonthly retainer · duration of implementation

Implementation Advisory

Client-side advisory throughout the implementation.

We sit on your side of the table — guiding your team at every stage, holding the vendor accountable, and protecting the outcome. We don't configure software or handle your data.

  • Project governance and stage-gate review across all implementation tracks
  • Vendor accountability — SLAs, deliverables, change control, escalation
  • Risk register and mitigation owned client-side, not by the implementation partner
  • Go-live readiness assurance and post-go-live stabilisation handover

Engage standalone — even mid-implementation, even if you never did a diagnostic or selection with us.

Free discovery call

A working session, not a sales detour.

The free 30-minute discovery call is where we review your diagnostic outputs, pressure-test whether the problem is really an HRMS selection issue, and identify whether advisory support would add practical value.

What we review

Your diagnostic signals, requirement direction, stakeholder context, and the real decision pressure behind the project.

What you leave with

A clearer view of whether to continue self-serve, where the decision may break down, and what level of support would actually help.

What it is not

Not a generic demo, not a hard sell, and not a requirement to buy advisory. The diagnostic outputs remain yours either way.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is the Fit Engine self-diagnostic the same as paid HR Tech Diagnostics?

No — they're different. The Fit Engine self-diagnostic is a free, automated 15-minute self-assessment that produces a basic fit report and weighted requirements. HR Tech Diagnostics (PRISEM) is a paid 4–8 week structured consulting engagement covering People, Process, and Technology — with stakeholder workshops, a full HR Tech Health Scorecard, gap analysis, and a Path A or Path B roadmap. The free version helps you self-orient; the paid service produces evidence that stands up to board, procurement, and legal review.

Do I have to start with the free self-diagnostic?

No. The three Advisory services are independent. You can engage FORGE (System Evaluation & Selection) directly if you've already done a diagnostic, or GUIDE (Implementation Advisory) directly even mid-implementation — without ever doing a diagnostic or selection with us. The free self-diagnostic is offered because most buyers find it useful, not because it's required.

What's the discovery call for?

A free 30-minute working session where we review your self-diagnostic outputs and pressure-test what you're actually trying to solve. We tell you whether (and which) of the three Advisory services would add value. If the answer is none, we say so — no pitch, no follow-up cycle.

Can I engage Implementation Advisory if I selected my system without you?

Yes. GUIDE is designed to be engaged standalone — even if you never did a diagnostic or selection process with us, even if implementation has already started. We sit on your side of the table for the rest of the project — governance, vendor accountability, risk register, go-live readiness.

What does "vendor-agnostic" actually mean in Selection?

We do not arrive with a preferred platform. The three platforms presented for structured evaluation are derived from your requirements matrix and organisational context — not from our familiarity with any particular system. If your requirements point to platforms we have less direct experience with, the FORGE evaluation method is the source of rigour, not platform familiarity.

How is this different from G2 or Capterra?

Review sites show what others thought of a product. The Fit Engine self-diagnostic shows what fits your organisation — your size, integrations, compliance posture, implementation capacity. Different questions entirely, and the answers rarely overlap.

Start now

The diagnostic is free. The next step is a free discovery call.

Run the diagnostic, set your requirements, and keep those outputs. If you want expert help after that, book a free 30-minute discovery call and decide whether deeper advisory support makes sense.

In the call, we review the outputs, challenge the problem framing, and tell you honestly whether to keep moving independently or bring in deeper support.
